***IMPORTANT***
Travel requirements change frequently, and it is the responsibility of the travellers to check the COVID-19 Screening requirements of the destination before ordering a COVID test. Review your airline or final destination’s requirements as it pertains to COVID-19 testing and confirm that the type of test offered by Appletree meets these requirements.

What is the difference beetween a PCR Test and a Rapid Test?

Rapid Antigen COVID-19 Testing

  • Detects whether there are protein fragments specific to the COVID virus.
  • Results are ready in approximately 15 minutes
  • Higher rate of false negatives

COVID-19 PCR Testing

  • More accurate because it uses a polymerase chain reaction to identify the viral genetic material of COVID-19.
  • Requires lab analysis.
  • Test results can take anywhere from 24 hours to several days

BOOK PCR COVID-19 TESTING

Patients must independently investigate which test suits their needs and decide which test to do for themselves.

What type of test do you offer?

COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Response Test (Nasal Swab).

Rapid Antigen identifies the asymptomatic or pre-symptomatic carriers of the COVID-19 virus at a point in their infection where their viral load is high and therefore, they are most likely to be shedding the virus and potentially infecting others.

We also offer COVID-19 PCR/NAAT Swab Testing, for more information on this service, click here.
