Ophthalmology is the branch of medicine dealing with the anatomy, physiology and diseases of the eye. An Ophthalmologist is a specialist who diagnoses and treats eye diseases, performs eye surgery, and prescribes medication for vision problems.

What can be treated at Appletree?

At Appletree Medical Group in Ottawa, our family medicine specialist and foreign trained Ophthalmologist will see any problems relating to diseases of the eyes and perform routine eye exams for those aged 20-64 as well as eye assessments for MTO driving tests and RCMP applications.

How Can I Access This Service?

To access our eye care services, you must have a referral from a family physician.
