About Appletree’s Travel Medicine Program
Travel Medicine addresses the prevention and management of infectious diseases in travelers. Apart from administering vaccines, your Travel Medicine physician provides safety advice and identifies environmental risks.
A Travel Medicine consultation prior to an employee’s departure is a key component in ensuring a safe and healthy trip. Ideally, the travelling employee should book an appointment with our Travel Medicine Program soon after travel arrangements have been made, or at least 4 weeks prior to their departure. However, even a last minute traveler can benefit from a consultation with one of our physicians.
What to Expect at Your Appointment
During the visit, we will review your employee’s vaccination history, personal health history, itinerary, and planned activities to determine which vaccines they will need to help keep them healthy during their trip.
