Internal Medicine specialists are referred to as Internists. It is a broad-based specialty that provides primary and specialty care to adults. Internists are specifically trained to diagnose and manage diseases in all our organ systems and are specially trained to manage seriously ill patients with advanced diseases, as well as diseases affecting multiple organs/systems.

At Appletree Medical Group in Ottawa, we have numerous Internists who diagnose and treat many different types of illnesses such as Cardiovascular disease, Respirology and Nephrology diseases, as well as generalized symptoms like fatigue, un-diagnosed weight loss, cholesterol problems and high blood pressure. Also available is Geriatric Medicine and Diabetes clinics.

To access our internal medicine services, you must have a referral from a family physician.
